Producer prices in Rwanda experienced a significant rise of 13.5% year-on-year in September 2025, compared to an 11.0% increase in August. This marks the tenth consecutive month of producer inflation and represents the most rapid annual growth since February 2024. The acceleration was primarily driven by an increase in manufacturing prices, which ascended at a quicker rate (14.5% compared to 11.5% in August). Conversely, prices in mining and quarrying showed a slight deceleration (1.0% compared to 1.1%). Meanwhile, the cost of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply continued to soar, maintaining an impressive growth rate of 34.8%, consistent with August's figures. In contrast, prices within the sectors of water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities remained stable, showing no change. On a monthly scale, producer prices climbed by 2.5% in September, recovering from a 0.3% decline in August, and marking the most substantial increase in four months.
